Volunteers are changing lives in 2026

National Volunteer Week 2026 is from April 19 to 25, and Special Olympics BC is so excited to recognize the outstanding volunteers who pour their hearts into everything they do.

From organizing year-round programs and events to coaching athletes on the playing fields, Special Olympics BC volunteers are vital to the inclusivity, strength, and togetherness of our movement.

They create much-needed spaces and opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to find friendship, purpose, and community.

We are eternally grateful to all the volunteers who devote their time and energy to Special Olympics BC!

#NVW2026 Contest

In celebration of National Volunteer Week 2026, current volunteers are invited to nominate a fellow volunteer who has made a positive impact. The nominator will also win a prize if the nominee is selected as a winner! Special Olympics BC will randomly select one winner from each Special Olympics BC Region.
